GSTN is providing free accounting and billing software in India to MSME’s with annual turnover of up to Rs 1.5 crore.
We (Saral) are one of the vendors selected by the GSTN to provide free accounting and billing software.
In this post, we will see the features of Saral and also the procedure to download Saral from the GSTN portal for free.

Procedure to download free billing or accounting software from GSTN
Below, you can see the step-by-step process with screenshots.
Here is a summary to download free accounting software:
- Log in to your GSTN dashboard
- Click on downloads and then on “Accounting and Billing Software”
- If your turnover is <= 1.5 crore, click YES on the pop-up.
- Look for Saral Accounts and click on the software download link
- Read & accept the disclaimer. This opens the GSTN registration form.
- Enter the details and Proceed. You will get an OTP to your email ID.
- Verify the email ID using the OTP & Proceed. Software will be downloaded.
- You will get a registration confirmation email and you can start working on your free accounting software.
Detailed Procedure
Step-1 Go to the gst.gov.in and Click on Login
Step-2 Login with your login credentials.
Step-3 Here, Click on Downloads under this option click on Accounting and Billing Software.
Step-4 You will get a pop-up, if your turnover is less than 1.5 crore then click on Yes.
Step-5 Next, you will get a list of vendors selected by GSTN for providing free Accounting Software. Click on our software listed on screen i.e., Saral Accounts (Relyon Softech Limited)
Step-6 Now, Click on the download link in order to download the software.
Step-7 The disclaimer screen will be displayed. Read the disclaimer by the GSTN and Click on Accept.
Step-8 You will be redirected to the GSTN registration form. Here, enter the basic details like GSTIN no, Name, Mobile Number and Email ID. After entering the details click on Proceed.
Step-9 Once you click on Proceed an OTP will be sent to your respective email ID for the email verification.
Step-10 Verify your Email ID and Mobile Number by entering the OTP which you have received in your email and mobile respectively. Click on Proceed.
Step-11 The software will download automatically. If it does not start downloading automatically click on the “click here” link given on the screen.
Step-12 Once you are registered to Saral Accounts check your email. You will get a confirmation email of successfully registering for Saral Accounts.
